01. Pre-Woodsman 1st Series Target .22LR 6.5" Blue,
98%, SN#5952 (1917) pencil barrel
model with correct beautiful original diamond escutcheon walnut grips in
quite excellent condition, correct early 1903 barrel patent date, correct
early mainspring housing for regular speed ammo, correct early two-tone
magazine w/brass follower, correct adjustable bead front sight, King rear sight
w/round white outline, mint bore, no box or papers (can furnish Xerox copy
of 1st Series gun Instructions). Gun
has some very minor scratches but presents very nicely with very minimal
muzzle wear. All markings correct. Exceptional
83 year-old gun!

98%, SN#38918 (1924) medium barrel
model with correct beautiful original walnut grips, correct 1918 barrel
patent date, correct early mainspring housing for regular speed ammo,

model with correct mint original plastic (Coltwood) grips left over from
the Bullseye Match Target military contract, correct original mainspring
housing for high speed ammo, correct blue magazine, correct Patridge front
sight, mint bore, no box or papers (can furnish Xerox copy of 1st Series
gun Instructions). All
markings correct. Gun was
made after WWII from parts manufactured before WWII and correctly features
the high gloss (almost black) blue finish that appeared on the 2nd Series
Woodsmans starting 1947.

features the high gloss (almost black) blue finish that appeared on the
2nd Series Woodsmans starting 1947. 1985 Factory letter to Major Robert Rayburn who had it in his

correct 3-line 'Match Target' imprint, mint bore, (* in non-correct (but
close) brown kraft box), no test target, Xerox copy instruction manual .
All markings correct including 'U.S.
Property' and 'G.H.D.'
initials for Brig. General Guy H. Drewry, onsite military inspector at
Colt's. Gun is strikingly MINT and likely one of the top Military
Bullseye's in existence today (this observation came from 3 longtime and
very knowledgeable Woodsman collectors).
