01. Pre-Woodsman 1st Series Target .22LR 6.5" Blue, 98%, SN#5952 (1917) pencil barrel model with correct beautiful original diamond escutcheon walnut grips in quite excellent condition, correct early 1903 barrel patent date, correct early mainspring housing for regular speed ammo, correct early two-tone magazine w/brass follower, correct adjustable bead front sight, King rear sight w/round white outline, mint bore, no box or papers (can furnish Xerox copy of 1st Series gun Instructions).  Gun has some very minor scratches but presents very nicely with very minimal muzzle wear.  All markings correct.  Exceptional 83 year-old gun!

02. Pre-Woodsman 1st Series Target .22LR 6.5" Blue, 98%, SN#38918 (1924) medium barrel model with correct beautiful original walnut grips, correct 1918 barrel patent date, correct early mainspring housing for regular speed ammo, correct early two-tone magazine, correct adjustable bead front sight, mint bore, no box or papers (can furnish Xerox copy of 1st Series gun Instructions).  Gun exhibits some minor freckling on the right side of slide but presents very nicely with minimal muzzle wear.  All markings correct.

03. Woodsman 1st Series Target .22LR 6.5" Blue, 99.9%IB / ANIB, SN#77812 (1930) medium barrel model with correct mint original walnut grips, upgraded mainspring housing for high speed ammo (very normal for any Woodsman of this vintage), correct early two-tone magazine, correct square front sight, mint bore, in way above average correct box numbered to gun with end labels intact and correct, test target numbered to gun, mint red jacketed instruction manual, mint Colt Special Instructions brochure, bore brush, and the original hex-handled sight adjustment tool, green hang tag, original tissue paper.  All markings correct.  Gun is strikingly MINT!

04. Woodsman 1st Series Target .22LR 6.5" Blue, 100%IB / ANIB, SN#146608 (1941) tapered barrel model with correct mint (not darkened by oil as is prevalent with Woodsmans) original walnut grips, correct original mainspring housing for high speed ammo, correct blue magazine, correct Patridge front sight, mint bore, in way above average correct box numbered to gun with end labels intact and correct, test target is torn and not numbered to gun, mint instruction manual, green hang tag, original tissue paper.  All markings correct.  Gun is strikingly MINT and appears NEW!

05. Woodsman 1st Series Target .22LR 6.5" Blue, 99.7%, SN#183234 (1947) Pre-War/Post-War tapered barrel model with correct mint original plastic (Coltwood) grips left over from the Bullseye Match Target military contract, correct original mainspring housing for high speed ammo, correct blue magazine, correct Patridge front sight, mint bore, no box or papers (can furnish Xerox copy of 1st Series gun Instructions).  All markings correct.  Gun was made after WWII from parts manufactured before WWII and correctly features the high gloss (almost black) blue finish that appeared on the 2nd Series Woodsmans starting 1947.

06. Woodsman 1st Series Sport .22LR 4.5" Blue, 99.5%IB, SN#88985 (1933) RARE *medium* barrel Sport model with correct mint (not darkened by oil as is prevalent with Woodsmans) nicely figured original walnut grips, correct original mainspring housing for high speed ammo, correct two-tone magazine, correct fixed trapezoidal (not half-moon) front sight, mint bore, in way above average correct box numbered to gun with end labels intact and correct, special label on top about new high speed ammo main spring housing, test target numbered to gun, instruction manual, Colt Special Instructions brochure (the 3 paper items are oil-impregnated), original tissue paper.  All markings correct.  Gun is strikingly MINT!  Note: Gun fits within serial number range for medium barrel Sports which ran from SN#86000 - #90000 and were made from 1933 - 34 when the tapered barrel was adopted for the Sport and the Target models.

07. Woodsman 1st Series Sport .22LR 4.5" Blue, 99.7%IB, SN#153224 (1942) RARE tapered barrel adjustable front sight model with correct mint (not darkened by oil as is prevalent with Woodsmans) nicely figured original walnut grips, correct original mainspring housing for high speed ammo, correct blue magazine, correct factory optional adjustable patridge front sight, mint bore, in way above average correct box numbered to gun (may be fudged) with end labels intact and correct, test target not numbered to gun, mint instruction manual, Colt Special Instructions brochure, bore brush, green hang tag, original tissue paper.  All markings correct.  Gun is strikingly MINT!

08. Woodsman 1st Series Sport .22LR 4.5" Blue, 99.8%IB, SN#155608 (1942) tapered barrel model with correct mint (not darkened by oil as is prevalent with Woodsmans) nicely figured original walnut grips, correct original mainspring housing for high speed ammo, correct blue magazine, correct fixed trapezoidal front sight, mint bore, in way above average correct box not numbered to gun with end labels mostly intact and correct, Xerox copy instruction manual.  All markings correct.  Gun is strikingly MINT!

09. Woodsman 1st Series Sport .22LR 4.5" Blue, 99%IB, SN#182767 (1947) RARE Pre-War/Post-War tapered barrel model with correct mint original Coltwood (plastic) grips left over from the Bullseye Match Target military contract, correct original mainspring housing for high speed ammo, correct blue magazine correct fixed trapezoidal front sight , mint bore, in way above average correct RARE oversize box (for the longer grips) numbered to gun with end labels intact and rare boxtop label detailing the plastic grips, correct original instruction manual and original hex-handled sight adjustment tool.  All markings correct.  Gun was made after WWII from parts manufactured before WWII and correctly features the high gloss (almost black) blue finish that appeared on the 2nd Series Woodsmans starting 1947.  1985 Factory letter to Major Robert Rayburn who had it in his collection at that time.  Pre-War/Post-War Sport model is exceedingly rare with original oversize box!

10. 1st Series "Bullseye" Match Target .22LR 6.5" Blue, 99.6%IBSN#MT9655 (1940) with perfect mint original "Elephant Ear" walnut grips (no cracks), correct original mainspring housing for high speed ammo, correct blue magazine with correct 3-line 'Match Target' imprint, mint bore, in average intact and correct box with both internal platforms numbered to gun with end labels intact and correct, no test target, mint instruction manual, bore brush in kraft cardboard sleeve, original hex-handled sight adjustment tool in kraft envelope, and the wood shipping block inserted between the elephant 'ears' to prevent breakage.  All markings correct.  Gun is strikingly MINT!  (Second best Bullseye)

11. 1st Series "Bullseye" Match Target .22LR 6.5" Blue, NIB, SN#MT11735 (1941) with perfect mint original "Elephant Ear" walnut grips (no cracks), correct original mainspring housing for high speed ammo, correct two-tone magazine with correct 3-line 'Match Target' imprint, mint bore, in above average intact and correct box with both internal platforms numbered to gun with end labels intact and correct test target numbered to the gun, mint instruction manual, bore brush in kraft cardboard sleeve, original hex-handled sight adjustment tool, and the wood shipping block inserted between the elephant 'ears' to prevent breakage.  All markings correct.  Gun is strikingly MINT!  (Best Bullseye)

12. 1st Series Military U.S. Property "Bullseye" Match Target .22LR 6.5" Blue, 99.8%(IB*),  SN#MT14236 (1943) with correct mint original Coltwood (plastic) military grips, correct original mainspring housing for high speed ammo, correct blue magazine with correct 3-line 'Match Target' imprint, mint bore, (* in non-correct (but close) brown kraft box), no test target, Xerox copy instruction manual .  All markings correct including 'U.S. Property' and 'G.H.D.' initials for Brig. General Guy H. Drewry, onsite military inspector at Colt's.  Gun is strikingly MINT and likely one of the top Military Bullseye's in existence today (this observation came from 3 longtime and very knowledgeable Woodsman collectors).
